Title
Chief Hollow Horn Bear
Artist
Mike Robles
Medium
Painting - Acrylic On Watercolor Paper Bonded Panel
Description
The image was inspired by a photograph by Edward S. Curtis, a photographer who between 1900 and 1930 photographed the North American Indian Tribes. This monumental task was funded by J. P. Morgan. Curtis produced 20 volumes and 40,000 photographs. His cameras were large format view type that produced glass plate black & white negatives.
This painting was done on Arches watercolor board bonded to an MDF panel. Artist quality acrylic paints and ink were used and it was finished with three coats of acrylic gloss varnish.
