Painting - Acrylic And Ink On Watercolor Paper Bonded Panel
Description
Qahatika Girl is an original acrylic and ink painting, whichwas done on Arches watercolor board bonded to an MDF panel. Artist quality acrylic paints and inks were used and it was finished with three coats of acrylic gloss varnish.
The image was inspired by a photograph by Edward S. Curtis, a photographer who between 1900 and 1930 photographed all of the North American Indian Tribes. This monumental task was funded by J. P. Morgan. Curtis produced 20 volumes and 40,000 photographs. His cameras were large format view type that produced glass plate negatives.
