The Livermore Wine Region, where I live, has 53 wineries! This painting shows one of the many grape varieties grown in this region. These chardonnay grapes are back lit by the sun, which presented the grapes with a halo of light shining through the grapes on the edges of each cluster.
This painting is 14x11 inches and was painted using artist quality acrylics on Waterford 140 lb cold-pressed watercolor paper, which was bonded to a 1/8th inch thick MDF panel. It was finished with 4 coats of acrylic satin varnish.
