Artist's Description

This is the seventh and last still life in my "Kitchen Art" series. My wife kindly made a very healthy lunch for me earlier in the day and placed it in the refrigerator. Since I needed one more subject to complete the series and fill the last space on her kitchen wall, I staged with a beer and photographed my lunch.
This 9x12" acrylic painting was done on 140 lb watercolor paper, which had been bonded to an MDF panel. It was finished with several coats of gloss medium/varnish.

About the Artist, Mike Robles I am a senior artist and a native Californian. I was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and graduated from Carlmont High School, Belmont in 1958. I graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 1963 with a BS in Physical Sciences. One week after graduating, I married Jane and this year we’ll be celebrating our 50th anniversary. My career as an analytical chemist for GE Nuclear Energy started in 1963 at the Hanford Engineering Works in Eastern Washington.
