I wanted to paint a lighthouse and at the same time display it so that its location was shown. This acrylic painting on transparent Duralar film allowed me to achieve that by placing a photocopied section of a NOAA Nautical Chart behind the painting. This painting is 11x14 inches and the painting serves as the glazing for the chart. The painted area was finished with several coats of acrylic gloss varnish.
